Gaby Stevens has spent four years searching Brackenridge's history for answers. The deeper she looks, the more she discovers how little the surviving records can tell her.

Old newspaper notices contradict one another. Names appear without explanations, and dates lead to gaps where answers should be. As Gaby works through the town's incomplete history, she must confront an uncomfortable possibility: not every coincidence is a clue, and not every question will lead somewhere.

But she isn't ready to abandon her search.

In Brackenridge, the past has left behind fragments. Gaby intends to examine every one.
